After George Agha bagged the Man of the Match award for his hat-trick in a 4-1 demolition of Benin, a second Golden Eaglets star, Boluwatife Thompson, also won the outstanding player prize in the goalless draw with Burkina Faso.
Thompson from Breeders FC was the Tormentor-in-Chief of the Young Stallions of Burkina Faso as he cut through their packed defence again and again in a rather cagey contest.
The scoreless draw won Nigeria Group B for them to face arch-rivals Ghana in Tuesday’s semifinal with the winners booking their passage to this year’s U17 AFCON.
