Last season’s Goal King Anas Yusuf scored twice for Nasarawa United to thrash visiting El Kanemi Warriors 3-0 and consolidate their leadership of the NPFL.
Nasarawa United returned to the top of the standings with 27 points from 14 matches, three points clear of Ikorodu City, who have a game in hand.
Anas Yusuf opened scoring for ‘The Solid Miners’ in the 38th minute.
He got his brace a minute into the second half when he pounced on a defensive lapse.
He has now netted six goals this season.
Youngster Garba Mohammed completed the rout with his third goal of the season.
“I am overjoyed to have scored a brace today,” Yusuf said.
“We hope to continue in this form going forward.
“For now, my focus is on Nasarawa United, to help them win the league and pick a continental ticket.”
