Akinkunmi Amoo has backed his club Hammarby to be crowned champions of Sweden this season.
“We’re going to be champions. That’s our aim, that’s our focus,” the former Golden Eaglets said in a special documentary on his flying start to the new season.
He also admitted he has many dreams, one of which is to shine at Hammarby.
‘Akin’ also recalled growing up in one of the largest cities in Africa, Ibadan, where he hawked oranges “to help the family”.
The youngster was first spotted at a scouting tournament in Cote d’Ivoire and scored his first goal in the Swedish League against Mjallby earlier this month.
Hammarby are 10th on the league table with three points from as many matches.
They will also battle Hacken on May 30 for the Sweden Cup with the winners qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.
