Former Super Eagles star Daniel Amokachi has said his Tunisian wife and daughter will be rooting for Nigeria tonight in a decisive 2025 AFCON clash against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
“Yes, my wife has a Tunisian passport, but I know she and my little girl will be cheering the green-white-green,” said Amokachi, who is a commentator for SuperSport at the AFCON in Morocco.
“They like Nigeria, that’s why she married me.”
Incidentally, Amokachi met his wife at the 1994 AFCON, which was hosted by Tunisia and won by Nigeria.
