The records set by Daniel Amokachi and Celestine Babayaro in the UEFA Champions League have remained intact even many years after they quit the sport.
Amokachi made history in 1992, when he scored the first goal ever in the Champions League for Belgian team Club Brugge.
His milestone goal was against top Russian team CSKA Moscow.
That record will not be touched.
The other Nigerian history maker in the Champions League is Celestine Babayaro, who till date remains the youngest player to feature in the competition.
He was 16 years and 87 days in 1994, when he featured for Anderlecht in the competition against Romanian club Steaua Bucharest.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
But the story was tarnished when he was also sent off after just 37 minutes of action.
