Jerome Akor has said Lillestrom hope to do well in the UEFA Conference League this season.
The Norwegian club pipped hosts SJK of Finland 1-0 in a qualifying clash last week and they hope to advance to the next round of the competition after the home leg Thursday.
“The ambition of the club is to do well in Europe and we will run with this ambition,” Akor said ahead of the return game in Norway.
“(Playing in Europe) is a big step for me, a good feeling to come out with something in Finland.
“We are very positive in the group, working hard and I believe we will get something positive again on the day.”
Ex-Flying Eagles striker Akor, who has so far netted six goals in the Norwegian top league this season, was involved in the winning goal in Finland.
