Jerome Akor came off the bench to score his second La Liga goal for Sevilla to defeat mighty Barcelona 4-1 today.
It was also a fitting way to celebrate his maiden call-up by the Super Eagles for crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin.
The big striker was introduced in the 61st minute, before he found the target six minutes into added time courtesy of an assist by fellow Nigerian star Chidera Ejuke.
He also had an effort chalked off for offside.
This was Sevilla first home victory this season and it ended Barcelona 15-game unbeaten run on the road.
Sevilla are now sixth in the standings with 13 points from eight matches.
