It has been reported that Chuba Akpom rejected as many 25 houses in Amsterdam shown to him as he tried to settle at his new base after his transfer from England.
ESPN reporter Cristian Willaert said the Ajax new boy looked at no fewer than 26 apartments before he finally settled for one.
Akpom recently took a swipe at sacked Ajax coach Maurice Steijn and was glad that the new boss John van ‘t Schip had spoken to him on a human level because he had not felt at home in Amsterdam.
Willaert reported: “He told me about the conversation with Van ‘t Schip and that he was in a hotel… It showed that Ajax had neglected him.
“And that they had not arranged a place for him to live.
“I just inquired: he apparently looked at 25 apartments. He rejected them all. He only thought the 26th was good enough. So he is a bit of a princess.”
