The agent of Victor Osimhen has revealed that the striker rejected “monstrous” offers to stay put at Napoli.
Last week, Osimhen extended his contract at Napoli till June 2026 amid speculations about his future.
“Last summer, some monstrous bids arrived… but we decided to stay”, Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda told CorSport.
One of such offers would certainly be from Saudi Arabia, which promised to pay him about a Billion Naira a week.
This revelation at a time reports suggest that Calenda is working on getting the player to the Premier League at least by the summer.
Il Mattino has reported that Calenda is now working on getting Osimhen to the Premier League with Chelsea in pole position to sign him even though lately he has been linked to Arsenal.
The release clause of 130 Million Euros inserted in the new Napoli contract is fair considering the top-class talent of the Super Eagles star.
