The Nigerian pair of Williams Agada of Sporting Kansas City FC and Obinna Nwobodo of FC Cincinnati will battle for a top Major League Soccer (MLS) Award.
Both will battle other players for Best MLS newcomer of the year.
This award is for the new players who performed brilliantly during their debut 2022 regular season.
The Jos-born striker Williams Agada joined Sporting Kansas City FC in June 2022 and has scored eight goals in 11 games.
Obinna Nwobodo, on the other hand, has been outstanding in the midfield for FC Cincinnati, a team he joined in April 2022 with 23 games.
Akinola Ayo of FC Toronto is nominated for the Comeback Player of the Year.
This is the award set aside for players that did well after a long injury lay-off and still do well for their clubs, while Tesho Akindele is nominated for MLS Humanitarian Player of the Year Award.
