Genk have maintained they have not reached any agreement for the transfer of Noah Adedeji and as such they expect the exciting young winger to shine for them in the new season.
The transfer saga involving Adedeji has rumbled on after he agreed personal terms with Club Brugge, while Genk are yet to reach an agreement with the Belgian champions in respect of a transfer fee.
Genk Head of Football Dimitri de Condé confirmed that there is currently no agreement with another club.
“It is possible that his future lies with us,” he told HLN. “At this moment, we have no agreement with any club whatsoever.”
According to De Condé, the matter was discussed internally and Adedeji responded appropriately.
“We had a conversation with Noah. I must say that he is training excellently and wants to shine for Genk. It is our job to push him in the right direction,” he further said.
“We are currently hearing nothing but positive things.”
