Desperate for more bite upfront, coach Ladan Bosso may hand ever-lively striker Adams Olubi a second chance with the Flying Eagles leading up to the U20 AFCON in Egypt.
Olubi was the only overseas-based player at the U20 AFCON qualifiers in May 2022 in Niger Republic, where he accounted for a goal.
The Benue-born striker has since been released by his Lithuanian club.
He will also have to be assessed by the Flying Eagles medics to ascertain the severity of the injury he suffered recently.
An official said several of the strikers who have tried to stake a claim in the Flying Eagles have fallen short and as such the team could now reconsider Olubi.
“He doesn’t score enough goals, but he has the energy and the commitment to keep opposing defences busy for the entire duration of a game,” the official told SCORENigeria
