‘Golden Boy’ Ishaq Abdulrazak has said he is proud to have taken his career a step further by signing for top Belgian club Anderlecht.
The former Unity Academy of Kaduna star is the first summer signing of Anderlecht, who will play in the UEFA Europa League in the new season.
The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year contract from Swedish club IFK Norrkoping.
“This is a big step up for me, one that I’m very proud of,” the former Golden Eaglets said after he signed his contract.
“I want to prove my worth to the team as soon as possible and I am looking forward to meeting my teammates and the fans.”
Anderlecht CEO Peter Verbeke said his club are delighted to sign a versatile player like Abdulrazak.
“We have been following Ishaq for quite a while and we are very happy that we can add him to the group now,” Verbeke said.
“Ishaq has a lot of physical qualities: he is fast, agile, has energy and plays with aggression.
“On the other hand, he also has a lot of technical abilities, which makes him a versatile player.”
