Femi Azeez is trending on social media and for good reason too – his two well-taken strikes on a most unforgettable debut has lifted the Super Eagles to the final of the Unity Cup in London at the expense of a more experienced Warriors of Zimbabwe.
He is the first player in 55 years to fire a double on a Super Eagles debut.
The record keepers also said he is only the sixth player to score on his international debut in recent times.

The 24-year-old Millwall winger could not have dreamt of a better start to life in the Super Eagles as besides his strikes, he showed the many qualities that have made him one of the most sought-after players in the Championship in England.
“Excellent goal. Brilliant player. Dream Eagles debut for Femi Azeez,” celebrated @SoarSuperEagles on X
“Insane debut performance from Femi Azeez, 2 goals on his debut for the Super Eagles and it can’t get any better. Unbelievable player,” added @chi_okongwu
Should he now not be the man for the high-profile friendlies against Poland and Portugal in June and not mystery player Owen Oseni?

Born to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother, Azeez is a clever, technically gifted winger who scores goals and is now in the prime of a career that has taken him to several English clubs, from Reading, now Millwall and before very long to the Premier League.
There is also a defensive aspect to his game as he showed against Zimbabwe as he tracked back when the Super Eagles lost the ball, won duels and he also pressed high up in attack.
This past season, he made 17 goals contributions in 35 appearances in the Championship and was also named in the Team of the Season.
Next month, he will turn 25, has a Transfermarkt value of about five million euros and his contract with Millwall will be up June 2028.
Who will bet he will not sign for a Premier League club this summer?
