Arnaut Danjuma has tasked himself and Bournemouth teammates to do better in subsequent games after they lost 3-2 at home to close rivals Barnsley at the weekend.
Bournemouth, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, are now five points outside the promotion playoffs bracket.
The 23-year-old Nigerian-Dutch said his club have all it takes to win the game and do well in the league but disappointed they could not beat Barnsley.
“Obviously I am very disappointed with the result of the game, “ Danjuma told Bournemouth TV.
“I think we could have won the game easily. We controlled the first half and finished 2-1 and came out well in the second half, but we conceded two goals from set pieces. We need to work on that.
“No excuses for losing this game, we created enough chances to win the game. With our qualities, we have to do better.”
Danjuma scored his team’s equaliser on the 22nd minute to take the game to 1-1 and also assisted Dominic Solanke in the 45th minute for his side’s second goal.
Danjuma has now scored nine goals this season.
