FC Cologne coach Mark Gisdol has said he still expects Emmanuel Dennis to come through for his team on loan from Belgian champions Club Brugge.
The 23-year-old Dennis has yet to score in the Bundesliga after nine appearances as Cologne are still not clear of relegation.
He has started six games, but came off the bench in the team’s last game, a 2-1 win at Borussia Monchengladbach.
“I don’t want to write it off yet. Just because he played some weaker games doesn’t mean he can’t be valuable to us, ” the Cologne coach said.
“He is very emotional. When he makes a throwaway gesture, he puts himself under pressure. He’s not helping us like that. We prefer not to see such body language.”
