The Golden Eaglets will seek revenge when they clash again with Group B conquerors Cote d’Ivoire in Monday’s final of the U17 AFCON qualifiers in Lome, Togo.
The Ivorians marched into the final after they stopped a spirited Niger 1-0 in the second semifinal of the day.
Nigeria advanced to the final after a 1-0 win over Burkina Faso earlier today.
They owed their survival in this tournament to Cote d’Ivoire, who defeated Ghana 3-1 in a final group game.
That was after the Ivorians pipped their Nigerian counterparts 1-0 in an opening Group B clash.
Both teams have already qualified for the U17 AFCON in Morocco in July.
The third place in the WAFU B qualifiers will be between Burkina Faso and Niger, who also played out a goalless draw when they first met in the group stage.
