It was no surprise Moses Ogbu returned to his favourite hunting ground of Sweden from an unsettled stint in English football with Grimsby Town to continue the business of scoring goals.
The 29-year-old Ajegunle-born striker signed off in style for Mjallby finishing third best on the scorers’ chart with 14 goals, four goals shy of top scorer Christoffer Nyman.
He proved to be a class act in front of goal.
Ogbu was on fire from start to finish on his return to Sweden, firing his 14th and his last on December 6 and sitting out the last league game to cap a glorious season.
With suitors queuing up to grab him, Ogbu, is surely on his way out and bigger clubs outside Sweden have indicated interest as offers beckon from Turkey and in the Gulf.
At 29, he now has to cash in on his goals of the past year to secure his future financially.
It remains to be seen where this stocky striker will take his scoring boots to after playing in Sweden for over a decade.
His 25 appearances fell short of the Scandinavian country’s 30-game format, making him one of the most consistent performers this past season.
