Eurosports has ranked former Flying Eagles central defender Igoh Ogbu as the ninth best player in the Norwegian second division, the Obos League.
Ogbu joined promotion-seeking Sogndal permanently this season from Rosenborg after a successful loan spell the previous season
“The very robust stopper we never seen as good enough for Rosenborg, but at Sogndal he has gained confidence and grown on it,” reported Eurosports in its citation for Ogbu.
“Uncompromising in the tackle and very good defensively. He is important in set pieces.
“He has a lot to learn on the ball and tactically, but he has tremendous potential.”
Ogbu was the only Nigerian in the Top 30 with former CHAN Eagles star Ifeanyi Mathew, who helped Lillestrom return to the Norwegian top flight this season, missing in the ratings.
