Super Eagles-eligible Ayo Akinola has been called up by Canada for a training camp in January just two weeks after he scored on senior debut for the USA.
Akinola, who is also eligible to play for Nigeria as well as the US and Canada, scored nine goals in 15 games in the 2020 MLS season for Toronto FC.
The 20-year-old marked his US national team debut with a goal in a 6-0 win over El Salvador earlier this month.
He joined other Nigerians, Samuel Adekugbe and Tesho Akindele, on the squad list by Canada ahead of next month’s camp.
He has represented USA at U15, U17, U20 and at full international levels.
