Swedish club Mjallby AIF have announced striker Moses Ogbu has quit the club for “bigger club, bigger league”.
Ogbu, 29, joined Mjallby as a free agent after he cancelled his contract in England last year.
He scored 14 goals to finish only four goals shy of the Goal King in Sweden this past season.
“It is no secret that Moses Ogbu was one of our most prominent players during the year. A forward who joined very unheralded, but who ended up as perhaps Allsvenskan’s hottest player,” sports director Hasse Larsson told the club’s official website
“It is entirely reasonable that his development in Mjällby AIF will lead to a move to a bigger club and league, says Hasse Larsson.
He is believed to want to cash in on his goals with a big move to Asia.
