Wikki Tourists exciting youngster Nasiru Jibrin is one of the biggest omissions from the Flying Eagles final squad to the U20 AFCON zonal qualifiers in Benin after he failed a medical.
“Nasiru is one of the players who did not make the final squad after he failed his medical,” a top source told SCORENigeria
“It’s a pity because the boy has so much promise and class.
“He was a sure-bet to make the final cut before the medical.”
SCORENigeria specially gathered that Jibrin, who was captain of the LMC team to last year’s botched trip to South Africa, was left out of the party to Benin next month after some irregularities were discovered in his routine medical.
He has been a standout performer for Bosso’s new team, scoring four goals in test games after he had recovered from illness.
In the meantime, the Flying Eagles are due to depart for Cotonou early next week ahead of their opening Group B match against Cote d’Ivoire on December 6.
