SCORENigeria runs the rule on the Super Eagles, who failed to win their revenge game against Algeria tonight in Austria…
Maduka Okoye 6
Did not show any rustiness in his second cap for his country despite not playing regularly for his Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam. Twice tipped Algerian goal-bound efforts to safety. Worth another chance.
Tyronne Ebuehi 7
Comebacking Ebuehi showed why he’s been missed in the Eagles squad due to a long-term injury. Solid defending and great going forward, combining well with Samuel Chukwueze. Delivered a great long-range shot at Algerian goal in the second half before he was replaced for no reason.
William Ekong 5
A shaky performance that was capped with a booking. Certainly not one of his best games for the country.
Leon Balogun 7
The Glasgow Rangers’ twin “Oyinbo Wall” marshall refused to look like a defender who just came back from injury. So confident was he that he often risked it inside his own box. A battling performance.
Sanusi Zaidu 7
He made life difficult for the great Mahrez after a tentative start. He is strong and not many attackers can really ghost past him.
Semi Ajayi 6
The West Brom defender tried to make the most of his makeshift holding midfield position by breaking the Algerian rhythm and initiating attacks, though got in the rough tackles some times.
Frank Onyeka 4
One debut to forget in a hurry, he was not in the game and had to be hauled off by the break.

Alex Iwobi 7
The Everton player is fast assuming the role of playmaker in the Eagles’ team and showed why he’s fitted the bill nicely. Ran the show, dictated pace and tried a few shots at goal.
Samuel Chukwueze 6
The Villarreal winger had his hands full with the well-organised Algerian defence that refused to give him space to disgrace them. Got away a number of times but his final ball yielded nothing. Not his best game.
Samuel Kalu 5
Not one of his best shifts and a knee injury early in the second half completed his misery.
Paul Onuachu 6
The lanky striker was unlucky that the well organized Algerian defence prepared well for him. His header should have been well directed into the net for a deserved effort but sadly went wide. The midfield failed to support him.

Mikel Agu 5
Replaced Onyeka at the start of the second half, he showed some glimpses in the heart of the midfield, but will need to do more going forward.
Simon Moses 5
Replaced Kalu to continue the search to unlock the Algerian defence from the left wing but the North Africans were more prepared. Nice flashes though but all came to nought.
Kelechi Iheanacho 6
The Leicester City striker returned to Eagles after a long layoff replacing Onuachu, he did well to hold on to the ball up front, but was well contained by the Algerian defence.
Kevin Akpoguma 4
The debuting Germany-based defender took Ebuehi’s place at right back but did nothing to stop the Algerian incessant onslaught from the right.
Ahmed Musa 5
Replaced Chukwueze for the last 15 minutes for his 92nd cap but was well taken care of by the North African defenders.
Samson Tijani
Another debutant, but did not clock enough time to earn a rating.

I see here that Chukwueze was replaced at halftime then again replaced at the 75th minute wow that’s a record. The folks at the guiness book of records should be notified because this has never been done before.
Sorry for the mixup. Mikel Agu replaced Onyeka. This has since been corrected.
