Zaidu Sanusi looks set to enjoy a bright future at Portuguese champions FC Porto after he was handed jersey No 12 for the new season.
Leftback Zaidu, 23, joined Porto from another Portuguese club Santa Clara for 4.5 million Euros.
However, he faces a Herculean battle for a first-team place as he is up against Brazil international Alex Telles, who could also move before the transfer window closes.
Zaidu’s compatriots Musa Yahaya and Chidozie Awaziem do not have a future with Porto, though.
The Portuguese champions will renew the contract of Musa Yahaya, who has mostly languished in the ‘B’ team, while Awaziem has again been shipped out on loan, this time to ailing Boavista, who also have an option to buy him permanently after the new season.
