Striker Isaac Boye has returned to Orebro SK, but the Swedish club will be going against the regulations should they loan him out again as they would have hoped.
Orebro have recalled the 23-year-old striker after he struggled for game time at Ljungskile SK.
ÖSK would like to lend Boye during the autumn, but Fifa’s regulations make it more difficult. He cannot move to any club in Sweden, Finland or Norway as the leagues are played spring-autumn. A player may only represent two clubs during a season.
“What makes it complex is that Isaac has already represented two clubs during the 2020 season,” said club manager Axel Kjall.
“He played with us in the Swedish Cup when he jumped in against Brage and contributed to us succeeding in turning that match.
“This makes it difficult to lend him to a country that plays spring-autumn. In that case, it would be to a country where you play autumn-spring.
The regulations are quite clear and I have not seen that there is any possibility of getting an exemption.”
