German club Arminia Bielefeld, who will next season play in the Bundesliga, are in pole position to sign Santa Clara defender Zaidu Sanusi, who has been sensational in Portugal this season.
Arminia Bielefeld have agreed a transfer fee with Santa Clara for the defender, according to Record.
Sanusi, 23, who is usually a left back but could also play in central defence, has been flying at Santa Clara after time at Gil Vicente and Mirandela, both in Portugal.
He has scored a goal in 18 appearances in the league.
His displays have since alerted several top clubs including title-chasing FC Porto.
