Top transfer target Chidera Ejuke has revealed that his Nigerian Connection with Hamdi Akujobi helped him to settle down quickly at Dutch club SC Heerenveen.

Ejuke, 22, scored nine goals and made four assists in his debut league season in Holland after his two million Euros transfer from Norwegian club Valerenga.
He has also made the most successful dribbles in the entire Dutch league this past season.
He told the Heerenveen TV about his special bond with 20-year-old midfielder Hamdi Akujobi, son of former Heracles striker Chika Conleth Akujobi, who holds both a Dutch and Nigerian passport.
“Hamdi has not been to Nigeria often but my connection with him was instant,” Ejuke said with a big smile.
“He helped me around when I first came and made things easy for me.
“We also communicate very well by using the pidgin English, which a broken form of English, it’s a mixture of languages some of which don’t really have a meaning.
“Like ‘Hamdi wetin you dey do?’, which is the same thing as ‘Hamdi what are you doing?’”.
Heerenveen have placed a 10 million Euros price tag on flying winger Ejuke and he could quit in the coming transfer window.
