Osimhen scored for the Turkish champions with a well-taken header to draw them level against Spanish visitors Villarreal in the fifth minute.
However, the Super Eagles striker was also in the thick of the storm when he had an altercation with Villarreal Uruguay defender Santiago Mourinho for holding him back.
Both players were later booked.
“We came here in the name of friendship, but Osimhen made an inhuman move, hurled unspeakable insults at our player and went after him,” complained Villarreal technical director Inigo Perez.
Galatasaray lost 2-1 ahead the kick-off of the new Super Lig season next weekend.
