One-cap Super Eagles striker Josh Maja is now a free agent after he failed to agree a new contract with West Bromwich Albion.
The 27-year-old forward is now linked with various clubs including Bristol City, Watford and Stoke City.
Watford, for one, need to sign a new, experienced forward to replace last season’s top scorer, Luca Kjerrumgaard, who returned to his parent club Udinese after his loan ended.
With Watford’s current strikers being 20-year-old Mamadou Doumbia and 21-year-old Vivaldo Semedo, manager Alessio Dionisi will need a more experienced forward, and Maja could contribute if the environment at the club is right.
Maja, who joined West Brom in August 2023, has a current Transfermarkt valuation of €4.50m.
