The Carthage Eagles of Tunisia are the first African team to be eliminated from the 2026 World Cup.
Tunisia fell 4-0 to Japan Sunday to lose their second group game.
They lost their opening game 5-1 to Sweden and fired coach Sabri Lamouchi as a result.
However, new coach Herve Renard could not lift the North Africans against an impressive Japan today.
Haiti and Turkey have also exited the World Cup after two rounds of matches.
