SCORENigeria specially learnt that Chelsea prepared a 50 million euros bid for Zadok, which is about twice what Brighton tabled for the same player.
Back-to-back European champions PSG were also in the race to sign the exciting youngster, a source familiar with this transfer told SCORENigeria
“There were just too many offers for the boy,” he revealed.
“Chelsea had double what Brighton paid for him, while PSG were also very interested.”
He said the deal clincher for Brighton was that Zadok could play as soon as possible in the first team in the Premier League.
“He is a young player who needs to be playing,” he told SCORENigeria
“Brighton have given assurances in this respect.”
Zadok, 18, flew private jet into England to sign a five-year contract with Brighton after he passed a medical.
