The players coming with the new energy include AIK exciting winger Zadok Yohanna, Femi Azeez, goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo from the English Championship as well as the strongest representation of the NPFL in many years – seven players.
Again, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali is left out as he is still without a club after he parted ways with South African club Chippa United earlier in the year.
This year’s Unity is coming too soon to pick recuperating Benjamin Fredrick, who incidentally was discovered at the tournament last year.
Coach Eric Chelle will hope he could make more discoveries from the time the Super Eagles take to the pitch against Zimbabwe in the semifinal on May 26.
