Chuba Akpom, who has pledged his international future to the Super Eagles, has signed a permanent deal with Ipswich Town.
This was after Ipswich Town won promotion back to the Premier League as runners-up in the English Championship behind Coventry City.
Both Ipswich and Ajax announced the transfer, adding that it was for an undisclosed fee and it is a three-year contract.
Various other reports that Ipswich paid seven million pounds for the striker with suggestions he may be loaned out to the Championship in the new season.
Chuba Akpom, 30, played on a loan with an option for the deal to be made permanent thereafter.
He scored twice in 29 appearances in the Championship this past season.
