After failing to score in his team’s last three matches, all eyes will now be on Super Lig leading scorer Paul Onuachu to score today at home vs Goztepe.
Onuachu has so far fired 22 goals in 27 Super Lig appearances, two goals more than his closest rival with three rounds of matches to the end of the season.
The giant centre-forward has played a total of 2,329 minutes in the league, a goal every 106 minutes, averaging 0.8 goals per match.
He has netted 24 goals and made two assists in all competitions for Trabzonspor this season.
Most of Onuachu’s goals have come from inside the penalty area. The Nigerian striker has scored 21 of his 22 league goals from inside the box.
The 31-year-old has also been the team’s most important weapon in aerial duels this season, scoring nine headed goals.
Onuachu has scored 13 goals with his right foot but has yet to score with his left.
Trabzonspor are third in the standings with 65 points from 31 games, two points behind second-placed Fenerbache.
