Turkish clubs Istanbulspor and Karaman FK have both dismissed reports that Victor Osimhen plans to acquire them.
It was reported on social media that Osimhen plans to buy a Turkish club as well as a Nigerian affiliate to give young Nigerian talents a chance to move abroad.
İstanbulspor President Ecmel Faik Sarıalioğlu, in a statement regarding the matter, said, “We know nothing about it. The news is not true. Such a thing is impossible.”
Karaman FK, who play in the TFF 2nd league, also denied any ownership talks with the Galatasaray star.
Club president Murat Çolakoğlu denied this in a statement on the club’s official social media account.
“We learned about this, especially from social media, from Victor Osimhen’s alleged desire to buy our club. This news is unfounded. There has been no such attempt or meeting. Karaman Football Club Association belongs to the people of Karaman and is not for sale,” the statement read in part.
