The striker drew the home team level with Udinese after 26 minutes.
He showed great composure to control a pass inside the box before he shot past Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye.
However, it was a scant consolation as Verona fell 3-1 at home to deepen their relegation woes.
They are rock bottom of the Serie A standings with 14 points from 22 matches, four points from safety.
The 23-year-old Gift Orban is on a season-long loan from German Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.
