Belgian team Club Brugge are willing to sell Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika, but they also want good money for this.
According to Mustafa Özgür Sancar, a journalist working for the Turkish branch of the Spanish magazine AS , Onyedika is open to that destination.
Club Brugge can live with that, but it has to be the right price. And that’s a pretty steep price. The Turkish source reports that Club Brugge wants 30 million euros for Onyedika.
If Galatasaray are willing to pay that amount, a transfer can be discussed.
In the meantime, Club Brugge have listed the 24-year-old midfielder for tomorrow’s league match against Zulte Waregem.
According to Club Brugge coach Leko, there’s certainly no agreement or anything close to one yet on Oyedika, who is therefore available for the match against Zulte Waregem.
“Nobody told me he’s leaving. What I’ve seen? He’s training with us again, he’s in good spirits, and he’s behaving normally. I see no reason why Rapha can’t play. He’ll be in the squad,” the coach told Het Nieuwsblad
Leko said he hopes that Onyedika will finish the season at Club Brugge.
“People are talking and speculating about transfers, but I’m staying calm. We’ll see what happens. We’ll only know more when the transfer window is over,” he said.
“But I’m not worried about Onyedika. I’ve been in football for thirty years: I’m not stupid.”
Onyedika is fresh the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, where he featured for Nigeria to finish a credible third.
