SCORENigeria has learnt that coach Eric Chelle will soon meet with NFF officials to discus his contract after the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, just as he also has several other offers to consider.
Eric Chelle has flown back to France to reunite with his family after a month working with the Super Eagles for the AFCON.
A source told SCORENigeria: “Eric will take a much deserved break and then he will meet with the NFF, while also studying more closely the other offers he has attracted on the back of transforming the Super Eagles into an exciting attacking force at the AFCON.”
NFF president Ibrahim Gusau said Eric Chelle will continue as Super Eagles coach.
“As the head of a hard-working technical crew, Mr. Chelle has done exceedingly well within the one year he has been with us,” Gusau said in an official press statement.
“He has shown enormous capacity and we will continue to work with him.”
SCORENigeria has already reported that some of the proposals on the table for the 48-year-old coach offer far more money than what he currently earns with the Super Eagles.
In January 2025, Eric Chelle signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional year that pays him $50,000 a month.
