The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has declared that Harrison Jalla is the lawful president of the National Association of Nigerian Footballers (NANF).
Justice C.J Aneke also ruled Tuesday as null and void the appointment of Larry Kubeinje as acting President of NANF, stating that it was in breach of the constitution of the players’ union.
An injunction order has therefore been made for Kubeinje to stop parading himself as such.
Observers alleged that Kubeinje was imposed on NANF by certain officials in another desperate attempt to divide the country’s players’ union.
The launching of the purported splinter group led by Kubeinje was done by NFF president Amaju Pinnick.
It was alleged that this was to ensure that nobody stops the ambition of certain officials to continue to rule over the NFF and also take control of CAF “through the back door”.
