Today, the NFF announced that striker Cyriel Dessers has been forced to return to Greek club Panathinaikos due to a thigh injury.
Dessers was making his AFCON debut in Morocco, but he did not see any playing minutes before he headed back to Greece.
Belgium-based midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi and defender Ryan Alebiosu were the other players who missed today’s training ahead of Monday’s Round of 16 tie against Mozambique in Fes.
Nnadi has flu, while Alebiosu is recovering from a deep cut he suffered on his leg in the final group game against Uganda.
