The Super Eagles put up one of their best team performances in recent times to fly past Tunisia and into the knockout rounds of the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
SCORENigeria rates the individual performances of the team.
Stanley Nwabali 5
He failed to keep a clean sheet for the second game at this AFCON. He could be partly to blame for Tunisia’s first goal on the night and he urgently needs to check his temper as he was only lucky he was not sent off for reckless challenge on a Tunisia striker
Osayi-Samuel 6
An improved performance from the Tanzania game by the right fullback, but he is still far from convincing probably because of the high standards set by Ola Aina.
Bruno Onyemaechi 6.5
Certainly an upgrade on the fumbling Zaidu Sanusi from the Tanzania game, he defended well but he has to work on his crosses.
Semi Ajayi 6.5
Never the spectacular player, but he did what was expected of him. He must be unhappy with the needless booking he picked up.
Calvin Bassey 7
Another solid shift by the Fulham defender in the heart of the back-four. He has been the man who has held this defence. His confidence is infectious.

Wilfred Ndidi 8
The Captain led by example by scoring his first Super Eagles goal since his debut in October 2015 in Zambia. It was long time coming and it was worth the wait. He grafted in midfield and it seems he is enjoying being the leader on the pitch.
Frank Onyeka 6.5
He started his first game in Morocco and his introduction gave the midfield a lot more solidity. You can never fault his commitment to the cause of the team.
Alex Iwobi 7
Did just enough after he caught the eye with two assists in the previous game against Tanzania. He was involved in the third goal after he threaded a through ball for Osimhen to unselfishly set up Ademola Lookman inside the box.
Ademola Lookman Man of Match 9
A goal and two assists on the night after he also fired the match winner against Tanzania Tuesday. The AFCON is his favourite hunting ground as he proved at the 2023 tournament last year.
Jerome Akor 7
He worked hard for the team and was lively and dangerous even when he played out on the flanks as he is a centre-forward. He is proving to be a worthy strike partner of Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen 7.5
The Galatasaray star striker grabbed his first goal in Morocco and that would certainly take some of the pressure off him. He has now scored two goals in 10 appearances at the AFCON and he is just five goals away from matching the Super Eagles all-time goals record set by the legendary Rashidi Yekini.
Chidera Ejuke 6
He was full of energy and running when he was brought on late on. Could have done better with a late chance that would have killed off the Tunisians much earlier.
Moses Simon 6
Not much of an impact in this game. He will get another chance to show what he is capable of.
Chidozie Awaziem
Not enough time to rate this stoppage time sub.
