Ademola Lookman shone so brightly with a goal and an assist for Atalanta to win at Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League and afterwards said he has moved on from the summer transfer saga during which he failed to force a switch away from the Italian club.
“You know, what’s happened has happened. A lot’s gone on. Some things people know, others they don’t,” Ademola Lookman replied when he was asked about how he got back with the team and fans of Atalanta.
“Right now is the time to work hard for the team and we need to win games, that’s the most important thing, to get stronger every day. That is what I am concentrated on and so is the team, working together every day to get results.”
It was the first win for new coach Raffaele Palladino after he led Atalanta to a 3-1 loss at Napoli in his first match in charge of the team.
“I think it’s important right now to get the victory, as 3-0 away from home is a really good result,” Ademola Lookman told Sky Sport Italia.
Atalanta are now 10th in the Champions League overall standings with 10 points from five matches, just two places outside the Top-8 bracket that guarantees automatic passage to the Round of 16.
