The race for who will be crowned the NPFL Goal King is one of the fiercest in recent seasons as only a goal separates the leading scorer with the chasing pack after 14 rounds of matches.
After his brace against El Kanemi Warriors, last season’s top scorer Anas Yusuf leads the goals’ chart with six goals.
However, he is chased by several players, who have each fired five goals thus far.
One-time NPFL Goal King Godwin Obaje of Enugu Rangers leads this chasing pack along with Ibrahim Yahaya (Barau FC), Nwokorie Ebuka (Kun Khalifat), Evwierhurhoma Igbunnu (Warri Wolves) and Gideon Monday (Plateau United).
There are also as many as seven players, who have scored four goals each.
