It is 1-1 going into the interval in the CAF 2026 World Cup Playoffs final in Rabat, Morocco, between the Super Eagles and DR Congo.
Nigeria got off to a dream start after just three minutes when Frank Onyeka opened scoring after his shot from distance hit the back of the net off a deflection by a Congolese defender.
The Leopards chased the game thereafter and were rewarded in the 34th minute, when Alex Iwobi lost the ball in the midfield and Wilfred Ndidi failed to clear the ball for Meshack Elia to slot past goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
Nigeria created the better chances, but they could not make the most of these openings with Ademola Lookman the biggest culprit.
There is everything to play for in the second half as both teams will go for broke.
