Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman will miss Tuesday’s final 2026 World Cup qualifier against group leaders Benin after he got his second booking of the series today versus Lesotho.
Incidentally, Ademola Lookman was Man of the Match when Nigeria slayed Benin 3-0 last year September in a 2025 AFCON qualifier also in Uyo.
He got his first booking against South Africa.
He is now most likely to be replaced by the tricky but inconsistent Samuel Chukwueze.
The winger was introduced in the second half against Lesotho today.
