Super Eagles rivals Benin have reported Turkish club Goztepe to FIFA for not releasing Junior Olaitan to join the squad in Rwanda even though he is injured.
Benin coach Gernot Rohr gave the latest update on the situation of the player.
“He (Olaitan) is not with us because his club stopped him from joining the national team,” the coach disclosed.
“Therefore, we have reported the matter to FIFA because even an injured player must report to the national camp.”
Olaitan has been injured for over a week and the arrangement was for him to join the national team for the injury to be assessed.
