Injury has ruled out both Cyriel Dessers and Bright Osayi-Samuel from forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin, officials said.
The players have thus been replaced by FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi and Uche Chrisantus of Crystal Palace.
The Super Eagles will be guests of Lesotho on Friday in South Africa, before they welcome Benin to Uyo in a final game four days later.
They are third in the Group C standings with 11 points, three points behind front runners Benin and South Africa.
