Nottingham Forest have taken Ola Aina off their Premier League squad after a hamstring injury he suffered on international duty will keep him out for several months.
The Telegraph reported that as a result of this injury, the defender was taken out of the Premier League squad, which was submitted Thursday.
He will be replaced by fellow Super Eagles star Taiwo Awoniyi, who was left out of Forest UEFA Europa League roster.
He is also in danger of missing the 2025 AFCON after he shone at the delayed 2023 edition in Cote d’Ivoire last year.
Ola Aina was forced out of a 2026 World Cup qualifier in South Africa Tuesday by the injury.
