A proposed transfer of Gift Orban to Toulouse from Hoffenheim may fall through after all because his German club are not favourably disposed to a loan deal even with an obligation to buy.
One-time Super Eagles invitee Orban is so keen to move to Toulouse that he has already made more personal inquiries and, according to our sources, has even found his future home.
The problem is that Hoffenheim have not yet accepted the deal.
The German club, with whom he remains under contract until 2029, are not inclined to let a player signed for €9 million last summer leave on loan—even with a mandatory purchase option.
And with their fragile finances, TFC can’t offer anything else at the moment.
