Ademola Lookman has taken to social media to explain in details his transfer situation, saying he is now standing up for what is right and fair after promises he could leave Atalanta this summer.

He also said he has now submitted a formal transfer request to the Italian club.
Ademola Lookman said: “Atalanta has felt like home…even when things have not been easy behind the scene.
“I feel that now, after three wonderful years in Bergamo, it’s the right time to move and embark on a new adventure.
“Numerous clubs have approached Atalanta in the past and I have always remained loyal.
“However, the club owners and I agreed that this was the right time, and the club was clear with me: If a fair offer arrived, they would allow me to leave.
“Although I received in line with what I believe was discussed, unfortunately the club is blocking the opportunity for reasons I don’t understand.”
